Obituary for Kenneth Wade Rhodes
Kenneth Wade Rhodes, 84, husband to Patricia (Reynolds) Rhodes, passed away at home on Sunday February 11, 2018. He was born to the late George and Gertrude (Hermes) Rhodes on February 16, 1933 in Louisville.
Kenneth was a firefighter for the City of Louisville and worked on the loading docks for Yellow Freight Trucking and Smith’s. He was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic church, a member of the Independent Order of Foresters (IOF), Teamsters Local 89, Firefighter’s Union 345, and an Air Force Veteran.
Besides his wife of 61 years, he is survived by their son, Jeffrey (Ronda) Rhodes, grandchildren, Breeana and Cassandra Rhodes, along with his brother, Joe Rhodes and sister-in-law Delores Rhodes and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 4th at 4:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Sunday March 4th from 2 until time of service.
