Obituary for Richard Madison Golson

Richard Madison Golson, 94, of Sun Lakes, Arizona entered into eternal life February 19, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. Richard was born April 24, 1923 in Midland City, Alabama to John McNeil Golson and Willie Mae Moore Golson. He was owner and operator of Bobs Big Boy restaurants in Tucson. Richard was a member of First Baptist Church of Sun Lakes. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; children, Lori (Tim) Elsbecker, Alan Brewer, Dennis Brewer; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Preceding him in death are his parents, John McNeil and Willie Mae Golson; daughter, Linda Anderson; sister, Maxine Heath. Funeral Services will be held Noon, Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Louisville Memorial Gardens West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY. 40216 with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow the service in the Louisville Memorial Gardens West. In Lieu of flowers family suggest memorial contributions be made in Richard’s name to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ. 85014. Arrangements entrusted to Tempe Mortuary and Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
