Condolences

Condolence From: Gene Rivers
Condolence: Uncle Bob was my mother Sarah's lil brother. I met the family several times throughout the years, even though my dad was a career soldier. We moved around a lot, but whenever near the Louisville area we stopped to visit. The last time I visited Uncle Bob was at the funeral for his sister Evelyn's husband Harold. He was just as I remembered him back in the 60's. That amazing Mimms smile, a great sense of humor and his laugh was so unique. We shared memories a d spent an hour looking through old photos I brought. He told me all about "the good old days". This man grew up in a time that was an just so family oriented. He had a wonderful wife, kids and a good career. I will miss the fact that he is not available to all of us, his memories of my mother and his other siblings will be greatly missed. My wife Gina, Bob's niece's Sara and Claire Rivers all share our prayers, thoughts and sorrow of his passing. God speed Uncle Bob you have left behind great memories for us and now begin the walk we all will take one day. Give Mom, Aunt Evelyn, Uncles Louis, David and David Mimms Hanock a big hug for all of us. Gene Rivers Cove, TX.

Condolence From: William Gilmore
Condolence: My condolences to the Mimms families. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of dear Robert. Some Bible scriptures that have helped me during times of loss include Isaiah 26:19 and Psalm 37:28,29 which states in part: "Your dead ones will live...They will rise up". And the Bible also says "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will forever reside upon it". Therefore the Bible promises that we may be reunited with our loved ones lost in death by means of an earthly resurrection. This is further confirmed by John 5:28, 29 which says "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". This is possible thanks to Jesus Christ's ransom sacrifice. Thus we have a genuine hope of everlasting life in a world without wickedness or suffering. I hope that these scriptures will be of some comfort to you. For more encouraging thoughts, please visit jw.org
